Welcome Back for Season 4 — We Can’t Wait to See You! 🚴‍♀️🌊

To everyone who’s ridden with us, supported us, shared our posts, and told friends about us—thank you. You’ve kept this little dream of ours alive, and we truly appreciate you.

We’re excited to say: Season 4 is coming, and we can’t wait to welcome you back!

And let’s be honest…what’s a Rend Lake trip without a relaxing electric bike cruise around the lake?

With 20+ miles of paved paths, you can ride through the campgrounds, cruise to the beach, and soak up all the views at an easy, comfortable pace.

A few easy ways to plan a “complete” Rend Lake vacation

  • Book your campsite early (especially for peak weekends and holiday stretches).

  • Build in a “no-schedule” day for exploring the lake at your own pace.

  • Add an e-bike day to your itinerary—great for families, couples, and friend groups.

  • Pick a simple ride plan: campgrounds → beach → photo stops → easy cruise back.

Winter Bike Maintenance: What We Do (and What You Can Do at Home) 🛠️

We spend the off-season getting our fleet ready so your ride is smooth, safe, and stress-free when the season returns. Here are a few of our winter must-dos—plus the at-home version if you’ve got your own bike.

1) Battery care (especially for e-bikes) 🔋

What we do: batteries are stored indoors and checked regularly. At home:

  • Store the battery inside (not in freezing temps).

  • Keep it partially charged for storage (don’t store fully dead).

  • Check monthly and recharge if needed.

2) Clean + protect the drivetrain 🧼

What we do: clean and lube the chain and moving parts to prevent rust and stiffness. At home:

  • Wipe the chain clean and add bike-specific lube.

  • If your bike has seen winter road spray, rinse gently, dry thoroughly, then lube.

3) Tire + brake check 👀

What we do: inspect tires, check pressure, and make sure braking is crisp and consistent. At home:

  • Inflate tires to the recommended PSI (listed on the sidewall).

  • Squeeze brakes and do a quick spin test—listen for rubbing or squealing.

  • If anything feels “off,” get a tune-up before the first big ride.

4) Store it smart 🏠

What we do: keep bikes clean, dry, and stable so components don’t corrode or warp.At home:

  • Store inside or under cover if possible.

  • Keep it dry and away from constant moisture.

  • A simple cover helps prevent dust and dampness buildup.

Big Season 4 update: rentals are getting even more convenient

Here’s what’s new:

  • We will no longer be renting on-site at The Makers Shack.

  • Instead, we’re rolling out mobile bike rental stations around the lake, including popular lake areas, events, and festivals.

And no matter how you rent, you’ll still get the same great service you’re used to:

Reserve online for delivery

✅ Or rent from a mobile station for the day

✅ If you need anything—setup help, adjustments, questions mid-ride—we’ll be right out to assist (that’s always been our promise)

We already offer convenient online booking and delivery options, and we’re building on that same “easy and friendly” experience as we expand for Season 4.

Our thank-you to you (yes, returning riders!)

We’re planning ways to show the love back—think:

  • specials

  • rental extensions

  • returning customer discounts

We can’t wait to share what’s ahead. Season 4 is going to be a good one.

der discounts + specials coming soon 👀”
